Cathay Pacific crew noticed North Korean missile from aircraft

A crew on board a Cathay Pacific plane noticed a North Korean missile blow up over the Sea of Japan final week, the airline informed CNBC on Monday.

Pyongyang launched the most recent in a collection of ballistic missiles final Wednesday in defiance of international sanctions and warnings against provocations. The rocket, which the regime mentioned may attain the U.S. mainland, crashed into the ocean close to Japan.

The crew of Cathay Pacific CX893, which was touring to Hong Kong from San Francisco, reportedly noticed the missile from their aircraft because it was passing over Japan and alerted the nation’s air site visitors management.
